1. How did you find your way to yoga?

I first studied yoga with Diane Wilson in Portland, Oregon in 1984. She had just opened a studio and we were some of her first students. This amazing woman continues to practice and teach in the Portland area.

2. What do you do for a living?

I am a mother of 3 children, ages 19,17, and 12. I having been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine in both private practice and public health sector in Maine since 1994. In addition, I have been threading the visual arts throughout my life. Works in process from daily observation can be seen at www.strawbridgeart.com, and at 50 Cove Street in Portland, Maine.

3. Are you able to incorporate your yoga practice into your career or into your daily life off the mat?

I practice yoga to bring my self together on a regualr basis and to stay free of injury from sports I love to play. I am  taking yoga teacher training so that I may better inform patients and students/athletes I coach to how they may incorporate yoga in a safe, non-injurious way.

4. What is the best thing about the Lila yoga community?

The community! Genell has gathered teachers who share a common path with varied expertise and approaches, and the  students that are drawn to this studio are a reflection of what has been created with delightful intention!
