How did you find your way to yoga?
I found my way to yoga through an injury. I love hiking and many years ago, while hiking Bald Face Mountain in NH, I tore the meniscus in my left knee. It required surgery and during the recovery period, I decided to try yoga as a gentle method of movement while my knee was healing. I fell in love with yoga and became very familiar with the multiple benefits of engaging in a consistent yoga practice beyond the healing of my knee. As a result, I never went back to the typical impact exercise that I did for many years! It’s great to know that I can do yoga the rest of my life!
What do you do for a living?
My specialty is energy medicine. My intention is to provide clients with a holistic approach to health. I consider myself to be a multidimensional energy practitioner. I utilize vibrational therapies, such as Ayurveda and acoustic Sound Therapy in combination with acupuncture theory and Color Light Therapy. More and more, I incorporate powerful mental imaging. In combination, these powerful tools change the frequency that we put out to the world and address the mind and emotions for deep healing.
As one size does not fit all, an energy medicine like Ayurveda looks at you as a unique energetic being and therefore provides different approaches and techniques suited specifically to the individual. Therefore, I am able help clients find the compatible foods, herbs, spice, lifestyle changes and energetic techniques for their individual nature.
I work with a wide variety of health imbalances, including this partial list:
- Digestion & food intolerances
- Insomnia & fatigue
- Stress-related concerns
- Emotional challenges
- Women’s health
- Weight challenges
Plus, I offer personalized guidance with seasonal cleanses.

Are you able to incorporate your yoga practice into your career or into your daily life off the mat?
Yoga is the sister science to Ayurveda! Yoga and Ayurveda help us figure out who we are and why we are here. They are the language of nature. The body is always sending us messages to pay attention. Every pain and discomfort or strong emotional feeling is an opportunity for growth. Therefore yoga classes or specific yoga postures are always part of my recommendations to clients.
Although I experience many benefits from yoga, the most significant benefit is how it helps me to stay grounded in my body. This grounding is one of the most important aspects to calming the mind. Since the body is merely a substratum or reflection of the mind, according to Ayurveda, this is extremely important. Yoga is a natural tool for proper movement of the breath and body, which are paramount for wellness.
